The effect of hydrotherapy according to Halliwick concept on children with cerebral palsy and the evaluation of their balance: a randomised clinical trial

<p><strong>Background:</strong> Hydrotherapy according to Halliwick concept is a physiotherapeutic intervention technique for disabled patients and children with neurodevelopmental disorders. Assessing the balance in cerebral palsy (CP) an extremely complex process more difficult evaluate results of some therapeutic interventions these patients. The purpose this study investigate effect based on support base CP. Several studies have proven beneficial effects hydrotherapy respiratory system children, but few are that report CP.</p><p><strong>Methods:</strong> involved 16 diagnosed 10 were following Concept program 6 classical physiotherapy 3 months. Their was assessed Berg, GMFM, footprint plate. assessment performed at start (pre-test) after months (post-test).</p><p><strong>Results</strong>: Τhere statistically significant change between 1<sup>st</sup> 2<sup>nd</sup> measurement BERG GMFM tools better water group. 1st 2nd group not significant.</p><p><strong>Conclusions:</strong> showed has positive gross mobility It also appears changing compared physiotherapy.</p>
